What it measures

All the cholesterol carried in your blood added together, HDL and LDL alike. On its own it is a blunt number, which is why the parts matter more than the total.

Saturated fat intake, genetics, thyroid function, body composition and activity. It sums several particles, so it moves for many different reasons.
